Christmas Smiles and Tears: Santa Claus Covid Confessions
Like many of us, Santa has had a rough year. And he needs our prayers.
God is gracious enough to provide friends like Santa to help us through our rough patches. Yet, do we ever stop to thank them? When what we get isn’t what we wanted, are we patient with them?
When they snap at us, do we snap back at them?
We all know how much Santa loves to be around people and to make them laugh. However, the quarantine and social distancing has clearly frayed his nerves somewhat.
If your presents didn’t arrive on time this year, you’re not alone. The restrictions for travel and family visits messed up his schedule. But he hasn’t forgotten you. As soon as he can, he’ll get those presents to you.
And if you live in California and actually got your presents on time, consider yourself blessed! With the governor’s curfew, Santa almost had to skip the state!
For me, the most poignant moment in the video above is his confession about the struggles in his marriage. Santa was the closest to tears I have ever seen him. He admitted that he and Mrs. Claus are seeing a Cocoa counselor.
At this point in the video, something strange happened. It’s almost like he quotes a line from a Matthew West song. How is that possible?
If you’re having a rough time this year, please take a moment to listen to it.
Can I really stand here unashamed,
and know that Your love for me won’t change?
Oh God, if that’s really true,
Then let the Truth Be Told…
So if you’re having a rough Christmas this year, please let someone know. If there’s no one to tell, please write me so we can pray togeth
