Make room for Jehovah to build the house

Make room for the LORD to build the housePsalms 127:1-2 (LITV) A Song of Ascents, for Solomon.
If Jehovah does not build the house,
they who build it labor in vain;
if Jehovah does not keep the city,
the one keeping it stays awake in vain.
It is in vain for you to rise early, sit up late,
to eat the bread of toils;
for so He gives His beloved sleep.

I put SO much effort into making sure that my family have all that they need! Up to a certain point, it is out of obedience to the LORD, for He says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 that “If a man does not want to work, neither should he eat.”

A prophet who can be hired, is NOT a prophet.

A false prophet can be boughtNehemiah 6:10-14 (LITV)

And I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up. And he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple. For they will come to kill you. Yea, in the night they will come to kill you.
And I said, Should such a man as I flee? And who being as I am would go into the temple and live? I will not go in.
And I understood that, behold, God had not sent him. For he spoke the prophecy against me, and Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
So he was hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and I should sin, and become for them for an evil name with which they might reproach me.
O God, remember Tobiah and Sanballat according to these works of theirs, and also to the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets who are my alarmers.

A prophet who can be hired, is NOT a prophet. A prophet, should not be concerned with a profit more than delivering God’s Message.

I will do my part

I will do my partNehemiah 3:1 (LITV)

And Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests. And they built the Sheep Gate. They sanctified it and made stand its doors. Even to the Tower of Meah they sanctified it, to the Tower of Hananeel.

We don’t have to do all the work by ourselves. All we have to do is our part.

If each of us does our part, the wall will be rebuilt.

A great leader learns how to delegate the task, and motivate others to finish the job.

When each of us does our part, we can rejoice together for a job well done.

There are no lone rangers in the work of God.  Either we do the work together, or it won’t get done.
