Do you need a miracle from God? Perhaps you need to pay a bill, need a new car, or a new home.
Once again, I would like to personally testify that our Heavenly Father is faithful to provide every need we have, whether small or great! Our role is to hang on for dear life and trust Him, no matter what. Make room for His miracle-working power to act!
December 4th was my last day at work at the Bar Harbor Inn. Right then, I knew it was time to move out of my home in Bar Harbor. Because of a COVID scare, the hotel where I work suddenly closed for the season, earlier than expected.
My bosses welcomed me to stay in employee housing until we reopened in the Spring. However, on unemployment, I could not afford the rent I would have to pay. I would have to look for a year-round job. To me, it didn’t seem right to potentially have to work for a new employer… while living in my current employer’s housing.
I had no idea where I was going to stay next. There were several options available to me, but all of them were temporary fixes.
Yet in my heart, I remembered my Coronavirus miracle. Last time I was laid off, God had provided a place for me to stay. Could He not do the same again?
So, instead of being anxious, I chose to trust Him to meet the need. And I held on tightly to His faithfulness, which He demonstrated to me over and over again through my life.
At the very last minute, a new home
On December 30th, 2020, I packed up the last of my boxes for storage. I had to be out of the apartment by the end of the 31st, but still had no idea what He had for me. Still, I kept praying, and trusting God to meet the need.
Around 3 PM that day, my pastor, Pastor Lowry, texted me: “An apartment has just opened up for $x. Are you interested?”
I replied, “Yes, yes, yes!”
Later on, I heard the story of what happened.
As I was praying for God to provide… on that same night in Ellsworth, a couple was sitting on the couch in the living room of their home. Suddenly, a bullet burst through the wall from the neighboring apartment, and continued through the ceiling!
That bullet passed right between them on the couch they were sitting on.
The couple in the apartment before me would fight very loudly… and the neighbors complained to their landlord about it. The fighting was so intense that they are given till the end of January to vacate the apartment.
According to their neighbor’s boyfriend, he shot the gun off in the living room by mistake… but who knows what really happened?
Just one bullet…
With that one bullet, their Landlord demanded that they vacate the apartment immediately.
Their Landlord goes to my church.
Somehow, the couple got out of there by the evening of the 31st, when I arrived at the apartment. They left the place fairly clean and empty by the evening of the 31st.
God is always on time… but rarely early. On the very hour I needed a new home, He met my need. And He will do the same for you…
He has a thousand ways to meet your need! For me, He provided a new home, through a bullet shot into a wall. What will He do for you?

Praise God! In all things!!
Amen, Wendy! Happy New Year… God is faithful, awesome, and amazing…
I need accommodation urgently as well… presently staying temporarily in my father’s house which is rather inconvenient. I’m believing God for accommodation before the end of the week.
Oh, LORD, please provide for Lanre in a special way… You have a thousand ways to bless us. Lanre needs a miracle. Help Lanre to be patient, and be led by Your Holy Spirit into a situation which not only meets the need, but shows Lanre that You care for them. This is my prayer for this new friend, who needs You like I did. In Your Name I pray, Lord Jesus. Amen…
